Jellyfish

Their gumdrop bodies float deftly

in ocean as cold as fiberglass:

gelatinous full moons.

They shore up, a collection of delft

bells. If you nudge a stunning blue center,

it will not ring into shards;

the supple cavity reverberates.

Tentacles flower into the tide;

the sea is a refuge of numbness

where stinging bodies can't escape

the elastic refrain.
