“My River Collection is inspired by the materials and landscape of the Pacific Northwest. My work is a celebration of the beauty I find in nature. I make furniture from salvaged live-edge wood slabs. I highlight the natural edges, holes, and knots in the wood by inlaying hand-cut blue glass to create rivers, lakes, and streams in my tables and wall-hangings. Since I use the natural forms in the wood, each piece is completely one-of-a-kind and no two tables are ever the same."—G.K.
