“A lot of my ideas start in my place Upstate. I'm intrigued by nature and the change of seasons. Seeing the delicate flowers of the black-eyed susan vine and its seeds, I thought that this plant was a perfect embodiment of the cycle of life.
This began as an idea for a series of textiles that I thought would work well for bedding and linens. This might seem mostly humorous at first sight, but there is a deeper thought behind it. We are—in the end—all part of this cycle of life and I thought it was interesting to show this through a simple flower and its seed.
